Liner Notes: All the tracks on side A are songs that I listen to while I get ready to go out and meet my friends for of course the famous copious amounts of mixed drinks we consume of an evening of adventures. Good day is one of my ultimate favorite songs. It puts me in a good mood no matter when I listen to it. Missy Elliot gets me pumped up, so song number 2 is the new hit WTF. She is a legend and will always be on one of playlists.

I’m embarrassed to say that I first learned about the song Flex by stalking famous athletes on Instagram. Far East Movement has come a long way but the classic “Like a G6” is a must-listen before hitting the bars. Future is one of my favorite artists so it would be a sin to not put “Turn on the Lights” in my playlist. Rihanna has killed it on her new album. My favorite song is “Desperado”. I feel like I am actually sitting in an old Monte Carlo listening to this song with her every time I turn this track on.

Side B goes a different route by showing my well-rounded eclectic taste in music. Hungover thoughts can consist either of: me wanting food, spending copious amounts of time with my head in the toilet while asking myself why did drink that much last night, or listening to chill yet still upbeat music. I am a sucker for a great harmonica so the first song I chose is “Hook” by Blues Travelers. Fun fact about me – the harmonica was the first instrument I have ever played.

If you haven’t heard of the band alt-j, please YouTube their music ASAP. Their music video will want you to take a cooler, grab your friends and head directly to the nearest body of water and float on an inner tube all day. Sunshine by Atmosphere describes what you go through during a hangover. Can’t explain it better myself. Who wouldn’t want to get better? That’s what the Bleachers sing their hearts out about in this epic track. Also, at this point in my playlist I’m starting to want to feel better and get rid of the hangover.

Flight Facilities is a dubstep song but before you judge it listen to the lyrics really closely. It gives you a unique perspective on life. Great for all of those hungover thoughts you will be going through listening to this sound track. The last song I chose is by a band called Arizona. Every time I drink and have a hangover it seems I always think about where I want to be in the future. This song is upbeat and will get you out of your hangover thoughts and it will help you start feeling better in no time.

Thanks for taking this musical journey with me into my playlist. I hope you enjoy Mixed Drinks and Hungover Thoughts.
